The Sulphur Springs School District and William S. Hart School District have joined forces to bring the Many Families-One Community Family Resource Fair event. It will be taking place Saturday, February 25th from 8:30am to 2:30pm at Golden Valley High School. It's a FREE event and they will even supply free child care and transportation. Celebrations Around The World
Come celebrate and learn about the diverse population found at Pinetree. Each country represented will be giving a tale to showcase their celebration. It's up to you how you want to share your country's festive occasion. You can showcase food, games, geographical location, music, traditional clothing or whatever else you'd like to represent your country. This is a fun night for the whole family!  Celebrations Around The World will take place Friday, February 10th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  If you would like to participate and represent your country, please make sure to fill out and return the flyer that will be coming home soon.

Pinetree PTA Executive Board Nominations
Are you interested in joining the Pinetree PTA Executive Board for the 2017-2018 school year?  Your Nominating Committee is now filling positions for next year's PTA Board and encourages you to consider joining the team.  If you think PTA moms and dads just organize school carnivals and fundraisers, you might be surprised to learn all that your PTA does for your child's school and its students, parents and teachers.  Being involved in the PTA is great way to become involved in your child's school.  Have a voice, exchange ideas, and contribute to improving Pinetree - and have fun while doing it! To apply: Fill out the form going home this week or you can download it HERE and return to your student's teacher. Deadline for Submission is tomorrow, January 31st, 2017.

Keep collecting those box tops and turning them into your student's teacher.  Our next contest round deadline is Thursday, February 16th.  The class that turns in the most this round will win a treasure chest of goodies for their classroom.  Remember to ask family, friends and neighbors to collect for you too.

PTA Meeting
Our next PTA Meeting will be this Wednesday, January 18th at 6:30pm. It will be following the new family open house for the parents of upcoming 2017-18 school year TK/K students. Make sure to come out and learn about what's going on in the PTA. Also, we'll be doing raffles, serving refreshments and we'll have activities (games and coloring) for the kids. See you there!

Six Flags Read to Succeed Program
Fliers will be going home this week for the this year's Six Flags Read to Succeed program. The 6 hours of reading is to be completed by February but your students can get a head start now to earn that free Six Flags Magic Mountain ticket.
