Book Fair
Our last Book Fair of the school year themed to "Paws for Books" is this week - Monday, April 30th through Friday, May 4th.  It will be held in the back corner portable - Room # 32

Hours of the Book Fair:
Mon - 7:45 am until 2:30pm
Tues - 7:45 am until 1:30pm
Wed, Thurs & Fri - 7:45 am until 2:30pm

We'll also be doing the coin challenge and themed days.  All coins brought in for each class will be used by your Pioneer's Teacher to replenish their classroom libraries.

Monday, April 30th - Bring in nickels and wear your favorite color
Tuesday, May 1st - Bring in dimes and wear a crazy hair
Wednesday, May 2nd - Bring in quarters and wear sport clothing
Thursday, May 3rd - Bring in dollars and wear your favorite animal themed clothing

Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is next week - May 7th through the 11th!  We are very fortunate to have such amazing teachers for our kids here at Pinetree. Let’s show our appreciation for all the hard work they do for our children.  Please have your child bring in a small token of affection… a picture drawn or note written especially for their teacher, a flower from their garden, a special craft or a small treat from each child would make them feel so special!  If you would prefer to purchase a gift, the PTA can provide a listing of each teacher's likes and dislikes to help guide you.

Happy 30th Birthday Pinetree PTA
This Friday, May 4th, the Pinetree PTA will be turning 30 years old.  The Pinetree PTA was formed back on that day in 1988 in anticipation of the school's opening for the 1988-89 school year.  The Pinetree PTA was formed to do the same purpose it does today - to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Pinetree Community School will be celebrating it's official 30th Birthday next September during the 2018-19 school year and we're already planning a fun event to make it special.

COCO Family Movie Night and Pajama Party - THIS FRIDAY!
Friday - April 27th, 2018
5:30pm - Crafts, Coloring and a brief PTA Meeting
6:00pm - Movie Time

Join us for another great FREE family event.  We'll be serving complementary popcorn, juice and watching the hit Disney-Pixar movie Coco. Come in your PJs, bring your favorite blanket to snuggle up and watch the movie. Come early for crafts, coloring and a brief PTA Meeting.  Coco is a PG Movie. Be sure to bring a parent or guardian. Please note the parent/guardian must stay with the Pioneer throughout the movie. You are welcome to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy during the movie.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Chipotle Restaurant Night last Tuesday. Because of your support, we earned an additional $556.08 for the Pinetree PTA to help fund the end of year activities.

Chipotle Restaurant Night - TOMORROW!
Don't forget about our Restaurant Fundraiser Night TOMORROW - Tuesday, April 17th from 4-8pm at Chipotle in the Golden Valley Plaza (next to Lowes and Pet Smart). This is a big one as Chipotle will donate 50% of all sales back to Pinetree PTA. So, don't cook that night and come hang out with Pinetree families and enjoy some great food. Just flash the flyer (link below) on your phone or tell them you're with Pinetree. Share with your family and friends so they can come support Pinetree too. See you there!!!

Steam Expo
The annual STEAM Expo put on by the Sulphur Springs School District that showcases all the interesting STEAM projects the schools in our district are currently working on takes place this Thursday - April 12th at 5:30pm.  Come and check it out as it's always a fun and cool night.  This year's Steam Expo takes place at Fair Oaks Ranch Community School, 26933 Silverbell Ln, Canyon Country, CA 91387

Family Glow Dance
Thank you to everyone who came out to Friday's Family Glow Dance.  It was a blast seeing all our Pioneers and Pinetree Parents out these rocking the night away and taking part in all the fun family dance contests.
