Also, new this year, the back of the flyer contains a list of everyday household items that our Pioneers need for the brand new maker space lab in the Learning Center. This year's Family Dance will be a fun rocking Glow Dance. The fun takes place on Friday, March 23rd from 5:30pm to 8:30pm in the Pinetree MPR and Amphitheater. Make sure to wear bright clothing. We'll have delicious food, an awesome DJ, photo booth, black lights, glow necklaces/bracelets, glow face paint, and more. Please note this will be a pre-order event only, there will be no tickets sold at the door. The focus of this session will be on reading comprehension strategies geared toward 2nd and 3rd grade students. PTA Meeting and 2017-18 Executive Board Elections Our next PTA Meeting will be Thursday, March 15th at 6pm in the MPR. During this meeting we'll also have the elections for our 2017-18 Pinetree PTA Executive Board. It's imperative that we hit quorum at this meeting in order to be able to hold the elections. We request that all available PTA members please attend. Prices now start at just $27 for softcover or $33 for hardcover with additional add-ons including Autograph Inserts, Zoom Current Events Insert, Yearbook Stickys and Personalized Cover for extra. The deadline to pre-order and make sure you have a yearbook reserved is Friday, March 23rd. This is also the last day to request any additional add-ons like personalized cover. Many Families One Community Family Resource Fair Sulphur Springs School districts sends out a special invitation for our families to attend their 2nd Annual “Many Families – One Community Family Resource Fair.” This amazing and informative event will be held this Saturday, February 24th at Golden Valley High School. A flyer has gone home with your child, which details the information about presentations, resources, and a Children’s Program that will be available at the Family Resource Fair. You may also go to your school’s website or the district’s website for information on how to register. Attendance will be limited, so please plan on signing up early! It's time for another classroom contest. Make sure to keep collecting those box tops and turning them into your Pioneer's teacher. The upper grade and lower grade classroom with most turned in by Wednesday, February 14th will have a choice of a Popsicle or Popcorn party. It's such an easy and FREE way to help the Pinetree PTA.
