March is the month, the 1st is the day, 6 o’clock pm is when we will play!

Win a game, pick a Scholastic Book to take home and enjoy!  This is a FREE family event brought to you by the Pinetree PTA. Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday and have fun playing Bingo for Books with your family in the Pinetree MPR!  We hope to see you there.

Bring one of the Maker Space supplied listed below to donate to the school and earn an extra Bingo Card: 
Scotch tape,  duct tape,  painters tape, Play dough, Tempera paint, Foil, Straws, Plastic spoons, Paper plates, Dish soap, Cotton balls, Plastic easter eggs, Clothes pins, Pipe cleaners, Glue, Color pencils, Salt, Baking soda, Cream of tartar, Vegetable oil, All purpose flour, Yarn or Perler beads and peg boards.

The Pinetree PTA always try's it's best to make sure every kiddo leaves the event with a book.

2019-20 Pinetree PTA Executive Board Nominations
The Nominating Committee has released the following suggested slate for 2019/2020 Pinetree PTA Board Officers.
Please join us at our next Association Meeting on March 21st at 5:30pm in the MPR for the elections. These are the suggestions formed by our elected committee, however anyone interested in holding a position next year is able to self nominate at the March 21st meeting. We hope to see you there. Many thanks to our nominating committee for their hard work in finding next year's slate.

Pinetree County Fair - Reserve the Date - Friday - March 22nd, 2019!
Please reserve the date - the Pinetree County Fair (normally known as the Harvest Festival) is coming Friday - March 22nd, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.  Wristband sales will begin March 1st. 

Flyers will be going home from your teachers for donations to their class basket to put up for Silent Auction at the Carnival.  Each class will have a different theme basket, please consider donation to you student's class basket.  Money raised from the baskets fund enrichment classes.  Also, teachers will be sending home signup sheets to signup and volunteer at their class attraction or game.  We at the PTA always want to provide the best Carnival for our Pioneers but we can’t do it without the parents and teacher volunteers to help us run everything safely and smoothly.  The PTA’s motto is “Many Hands Make Light Work” and we could use as many hands as we can get.  Please let your kid's teacher know if you can volunteer a half hour shift (or more) which still leaves plenty of time to spend with your kiddos at the carnival the rest of the night.

Reflections Update
We wanted to provide a awesome update to the Reflections Art Contest.  These are the students that placed in SCV Council level:

1st Place at SCV Council Level:

This means Jaden moved on to 34th District judging where it was already announced he also placed 1st there and is now going to State Level judging. This is an outstanding accomplishment. Congrats Jaden! We'll be rooting for you!

Our Pinetree kids were honored last week at the SCV Council Gala held at the Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.  Principal Deb Stilson and representatives from the Pinetree PTA were proud to be there to celebrate them.

Spirit Bundles
In celebration of Pinetree’s Big 30th Birthday year, the Pinetree PTA would like to introduce Spirit Bundles as a new way you can help the Pinetree PTA.  In return, you receive great goodies and recognition. We have multiple donation tiers to choose from, you can donate on behalf of your family or business name and one of the best parts - your donation is tax deductible.  This will help get Pinetree PTA on a great fundraising head start for the school year and depending on the tier, you will be able to get everything Pinetree PTA has to offer for the school year.  Pinetree PTA Fundraising provides complete funding for our enrichment classes including art and music instruction, as well as supporting classroom needs, field trips and school wide improvements.

Join the Pinetree PTA!
Let's see if we can bypass last year's membership total.  If you haven't joined the Pinetree PTA, make sure to join today!  We're less than 20 members away from passing last year's total!

As you can see, we have kicked off our Membership drive with a cool "Rock & Roll" theme because Pinetree PTA Members Rock! 

Come join the Pinetree PTA and have a voice in your child's education.  Please note that joining the PTA doesn't require you to attend the meetings or volunteer although we and your students would LOVE if you did.  The Pinetree PTA was able to increase the membership count in the 2017-18 year by over 10% over the 2016-17 school year.  Let's show that we can do it again.
