Students have been assigned a color team in this school-wide event. Points will be earned for their team through donations (1 point for each dollar sponsored). Each student that receives at least $10 in sponsorships will begin receiving prizes. The more sponsorships a student receives, the more prizes they will receive (see prize list below). Plus points will be awarded during the Academic Olympics event (taking place September 9th) which will be a Survivor-style relay race covering 5 academic topics, English, Math, Science, Current Events and Problem Solving. The students will work in teams to complete each relay station. The team that crosses the finish line first earns the most points for their team! Points will be tallied throughout the 2 week event, and the winning color team will earn a special prize! All profits from this fundraiser go directly to our students! Funds raised help us make our first payment for our Music, Art and Drama enrichment classes, pay for Brain Pop for all classrooms, the Reflections art competition, and countless other beginning of the year activities that give our Pinetree Pioneers a well rounded education. Your student can begin collecting sponsorship now! They can collect sponsorship two ways: 1. By cash or check using the pledge form which was sent home this week. This works great for neighbors and in town family and friends (if needed, you can download and print a pledge form HERE) 2. You can also recruit sponsorship via email or Social Media by copying and pasting the link below and sending to out of state friends and family. They can click on the link and sponsor your student online safely via debit/credit cards. Please make sure you share your student's name, teacher and team color which they will need to make their sponsorship https://www.schoolpay.com/parent/mip/665212838886496209208632178 SPONSORSHIP FUNDS ARE DUE SEPTEMBER 9TH Please note all donations are tax deductible ... This will be a fun event full of survivor-style academic and physical challenges. In addition to the individual prizes we offer each year, the winning team will all earn a special prize. The kids that bring in over $100 in pledges will earn a handprint on our brand new mural wall! Look for more details to come home in the next few weeks. PTA is proud to sponsor Music, Art and Drama classes for all of our students each year, as well as Brain Pop for all of the classrooms, new library books, classroom materials, fun family activities, field trips and assemblies and so much more!
