This is our last Pioneer News for 2016!  Everyone here with the Pinetree PTA would like to wish all our Pinetree Families, Students, Teachers and Faculty the Happiest of Holidays!  We'll see you in 2017!

Holiday Shoppe - This Week!
This week is our Holiday Shoppe. Give your child the joy of holiday shopping on their own within a limited budget. Prices will range from $1 - $5. The shop is located in Room #24. Please note this is not a PTA fundraiser, just a service provided by the Pinetree PTA.  All items are sold at cost.
Shopping Schedule:
Wednesday, December 14th - 8:00 am - 2:45 pm
Kids will do a little window shopping during their scheduled classroom visit to the holiday shop during our preview day.
Thursday, December 15th - 8:00 am - 2:45 pm
Kids can shop during classroom visits, recess, lunch and after-school
Friday, December 16th - 8:00 am - 2:45 pm
Kids can finish their shopping during classroom visits, recess, lunch and after-school

Box Tops Holiday Party Contest Winner!
Congrats to Mrs. Nystrom's class who just barely edged out the win for this round of the box top collection contest.  Because the 2nd place class was ONLY 7 box tops away, they'll also be winning a Holiday party so congrats also goes out to Mrs. Childs' class!  Our next round will be due in early 2017 so keep collecting and remind your family, friends and neighbors to collect as well.  It's a FREE and EASY way to help the Pinetree PTA.

Movie Night - Thank You!
Thank you to everyone that came out to our movie night this past Friday featuring the "The Grinch."  We even had a special visit by Santa himself who handed out candy canes to all Pioneers who attended.  Stay tuned as we have more fun and exciting events planned for 2017!

Pinetree Yearbooks
Fliers have gone home for the 2016-17 Pinetree Yearbook.  Prices start at just $22 for paperback or $28 for hardcover with available upgrades such as personalized cover, autograph pages, Zoom current events insert and stickies.  The deadline to get the yearbook at these prices is January 31st, 2017. After that date, prices will increase so we suggest pre-ordering now and save!

Restaurant Day/Night - Domino's Pizza - This Wednesday
Our next Restaurant Day/Night will be held this Wednesday, December 7th from 10am to 10pm at Domino's Pizza at 18635 Soledad Canyon Road.  If you mention Pinetree Elementary when placing your order, Domino’s will donate $3.00 for each order to the Pinetree PTA. Lunch and Dinner, perhaps? :)  Domino's will also be awarding one pizza party certificate to the classroom with the highest participation in their grade for this Pizza Night! So be sure to hand in the form (link below) or mention your child(ren’s) teacher when placing your order over the phone for delivery.

Krispy Kreme 6th Grade Fundraiser
Who doesn't love some Krispy Kreme doughnuts? We'll be selling a dozen doughnuts for $12 each and all proceeds will benefit the 6th Grade end of year activities.  Order forms were distributed last week and are due by this Friday, December 9th.  Freshly made orders will be delivered to student's classrooms Wednesday, December 14th. 

Box Tops Contest - Next Round due by this Wednesday
Keep collecting those box tops and turn them into your student's teacher.  The next prize will be awarded to the class that turns in the most box tops between November 1st and December 7th, and will be a holiday party pack ... hot cocoa and candy canes to be delivered during the last week of school before break.  Remind your family, friends and neighbors to collect as well.  It's a FREE and EASY way to help the Pinetree PTA.

'Flip The Switch' Solar Panel Event
Pinetree was very proud to be the hosting school for the Sulphur Springs School District "Flip The Switch" Solar Panel kickoff earlier this month. If you missed the event, SCVTv has posted a video covering the ceremony with appearances by Principal Stilson, Pinetree student Zoe Wells, the Pinetree Chorus, the Sulphur Springs District Chorus, Sulphur Springs Board Members and Pinetree's very own Pioneer Pete!

Fall Catalog Fundraiser Update
Orders will be delivered to the classrooms this Friday, December 9th. If your student sold a large amount of items and takes the bus or goes to after school care, we suggest you make arrangements to come pick up the items from the school. As always, thank you for supporting the Pinetree PTA!  Also, for all students who sold the milestone amount to attend the Dance Party, it will be taking place Thursday, December 15th from 1:45pm to dismissal.
