This is it!
We have hit the last week of the 2017-18 School Year.  Everyone here on the PTA Board would like to thank all the Pinetree Families, Teachers and Staff for a great school year and all your support of the Pinetree PTA.  We hope you all have a great and safe summer. 

We'll see you back August 15th from 3pm-5pm for the Welcome Back Social in the MPR where the class lists will be posted.  The PTA will be there selling membership and the new awesome 30th Spiritwear.  To cool us down from the hot summer heat, we'll also have Kona Ice on hand selling yummy shaved ice - 20% of the sales will go to Pinetree PTA.

The PTA will also be hosting it's own Welcome Back Social on the first day of school at 8am in The Learning Center for all Pinetree Families.  After you drop off your Pioneers for their first day of school, come join us for refreshments, buy the new 30th spiritwear and purchase some of our older spiritwear at a discounted rate.

Pinetree Community School 2017-18 Yearbook
Pre-ordered Yearbooks will be distributed to students TODAY - Monday, June 11th.  If you weren't able to pre-order a yearbook before the deadline we'll have a VERY LIMITED number of hardcover and softcover yearbooks for sale on a table setup in front of the office right after school TODAY - Monday, June 11th.  We will only be accepting cash or credit card as we won't be able to clear checks before the school year ends.  The prices will be $35 for hardcover and $30 for softcover.  Please note these remaining yearbooks normally sell out really fast.

6th Grade Promotion
The 6th Grade Promotion will be taking place in the outdoor amphitheater at the back of the school this Thursday, June 14th at 8:00am.  Immediately following, we invite all 6th Grade families to come into the MPR where the PTA will be celebrating our 6th Graders with a "Look out world, here come's our Pinetree Pioneers" theme graduation party with decorations, cake and refreshments.

Whimbys Thrift Shop Donations - Are you Spring Cleaning?
You spoke and we listened.  In our end of year survey, we asked what new potential fundraisers would you be interested in and one of the highest responses was for Thrift Shop Donations.  The response was so high, we decided to kick it off early to get a head start on next year.  Whimbys is an official SCV PTA Partner and the owner has created the store to benefit the local community.  It's simple, just bring in your gently used items to the store located on Soledad Canyon Rd right next to TJ Maxx.  Just say you're with Pinetree and portion of the sales on your donated items will go to Pinetree Community School.  This will be an ongoing fundraiser so feel free to bring your items whenever and however often you like.

Summer Box Top Contest
The summer box top contest is on.  Keep collecting those box tops over the summer as the upper grade and lower grade class that brings the most in the first week of school will win a Popsicle party.

Pinetree PTA Honored
Last week was the Santa Clarita Valley PTA Annual Dinner. Proud to announce Pinetree walked away with an award. We were honored with "Personal Best Increase" in membership. Huge thanks to our VP of Membership Valeska Duarte and President Ginny Wells for their hard work in making that happen.

Pinetree PTA 2018-19 Calendar
At our last PTA Meeting, the 2018-19 PTA Calendar was presented and approved.  Next year will be a big year for Pinetree as it will not only be celebrating it's big 30th Birthday but will also be in the midst of it's modification construction project.  Due to these two events, some events have been shifted.  Since, Pinetree will be having a big 30th Birthday Party on Friday, October 19th, the School Carnival (Harvest Festival) will be moved to Spring Time and the Family Dance will be moved up to September.  To view the full calendar, please click the link below.
