Book Fair
Our last Book Fair of the school year themed to "Paws for Books" is this week - Monday, April 30th through Friday, May 4th.  It will be held in the back corner portable - Room # 32

Hours of the Book Fair:
Mon - 7:45 am until 2:30pm
Tues - 7:45 am until 1:30pm
Wed, Thurs & Fri - 7:45 am until 2:30pm

We'll also be doing the coin challenge and themed days.  All coins brought in for each class will be used by your Pioneer's Teacher to replenish their classroom libraries.

Monday, April 30th - Bring in nickels and wear your favorite color
Tuesday, May 1st - Bring in dimes and wear a crazy hair
Wednesday, May 2nd - Bring in quarters and wear sport clothing
Thursday, May 3rd - Bring in dollars and wear your favorite animal themed clothing

Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is next week - May 7th through the 11th!  We are very fortunate to have such amazing teachers for our kids here at Pinetree. Let’s show our appreciation for all the hard work they do for our children.  Please have your child bring in a small token of affection… a picture drawn or note written especially for their teacher, a flower from their garden, a special craft or a small treat from each child would make them feel so special!  If you would prefer to purchase a gift, the PTA can provide a listing of each teacher's likes and dislikes to help guide you.

Happy 30th Birthday Pinetree PTA
This Friday, May 4th, the Pinetree PTA will be turning 30 years old.  The Pinetree PTA was formed back on that day in 1988 in anticipation of the school's opening for the 1988-89 school year.  The Pinetree PTA was formed to do the same purpose it does today - to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Pinetree Community School will be celebrating it's official 30th Birthday next September during the 2018-19 school year and we're already planning a fun event to make it special.
