Celebrations & Traditions Around The World
Our Celebrations & Traditions Around the World event is this Friday. We could really use some more volunteer families sharing their heritages at a table. This is a FREE event and our students love it as they get to learn about so many different heritages we have here at Pinetree. Whether you share a custom food dish or beverage, maps, clothing, facts, etc from your heritage, it's up to you. We'll also have a live performance by an Aztec dance group that is always a crowd favorite. SAVE THE DATE PLEASE!

Join us for an evening of International festivities as we celebrate holiday traditions around the world. Come on out and enjoy samples of the different foods and learn about the cultures that make up our diverse Pinetree Community. We’ll also have a fun festive performance to enjoy. Refreshments will be served a long with fun cultural foods provided by our participants. This is a fun free event provided by the Pinetree PTA.

What: Pinetree's Annual Celebrations Around the World
When: Friday, January 25th, 2019
Where: Pinetree’s MPR - 6:00-8:00 p.m. after a brief PTA meeting at 5:30 p.m.

Please consider sharing your families’ heritage by hosting a table at this event!

This is an opportunity to celebrate and learn about the diverse population of families that make up Pinetree. We are hoping to have as many countries represented as possible.

Each country represented will be given a table to showcase their culture. We've had traditional first birthdays, Christmas, Hanukah, just to name a few. It's up to YOU to decide which festive occasion you would like to share or if you just want to host a booth that shares any fun information about your culture, that is great too! We would like you to showcase things like food, games, geographical location, music, traditional clothing, etc. It is an evening filled with music, fun, and a celebration of the different cultures within our school community.

PTA Meeting
Our next PTA is this Friday at 5:30pm in the MPR.  It will be followed by our Celebrations & Traditions Around the World event at 6:00pm.  We hope to see you there.

Reflections Update
We wanted to provide a awesome update to the Reflections Art Contest.  These are the people that placed in SCV Council level:

1st Place at SCV Council Level which means he moved on to 34th District judging where it was announced he placed also 1st there and is now going to State Level judging.  This is an outstanding accomplishment.  Congrats Jaden!  We'll be rooting for you!

Six Flags Read to Succeed Program
Reading logs went home with the students before winter break so they can get a head start on the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program.  Completed reading logs that reflect over 6 hours of reading are due back to your student's teacher by February 10th, 2019 in order for them to receive their free Six Flags ticket.

Spiritwear Update
We're down to our last few sizes of our special 30th Spiritwear T-Shirts and Women's V-Necks/Scoop Necks so please get your order in ASAP to make sure you get a shirt.  Once they're gone, they're gone.

Spirit Bundles
In celebration of Pinetree’s Big 30th Birthday year, the Pinetree PTA would like to introduce Spirit Bundles as a new way you can help the Pinetree PTA.  In return, you receive great goodies and recognition. We have multiple donation tiers to choose from, you can donate on behalf of your family or business name and one of the best parts - your donation is tax deductible.  This will help get Pinetree PTA on a great fundraising head start for the school year and depending on the tier, you will be able to get everything Pinetree PTA has to offer for the school year.  Pinetree PTA Fundraising provides complete funding for our enrichment classes including art and music instruction, as well as supporting classroom needs, field trips and school wide improvements.

Join the Pinetree PTA!

As you can see, we have kicked off our Membership drive with a cool "Rock & Roll" theme because Pinetree PTA Members Rock! 

Come join the Pinetree PTA and have a voice in your child's education.  Please note that joining the PTA doesn't require you to attend the meetings or volunteer although we and your students would LOVE if you did.  The Pinetree PTA was able to increase the membership count in the 2017-18 year by over 10% over the 2016-17 school year.  Let's show that we can do it again.
