3rd Annual Pinetree PTA Chili Cook-Off
The 3rd Annual Pinetree PTA Chili Cook-off is this Friday, May 19th at 6:30pm.  Following a brief PTA meeting at 6:00 p.m.  Do you have a chili recipe that can’t be beat? Prove it at our chili cook off! Free to enter, free to judge!    Votes will be tallied at 7:30

We still have spots open for cooks!  So, if you're interested in cooking, please submit your signup form as soon as possible.

Fliers have gone home to signup and show off your chili.  If you didn't get one, Click HERE for signup flier and rules 

If you just want to come sample and judge - there is no signup needed and we'll see you there!  This is a FREE family event provided by the Pinetree PTA.  

Book Fair
Our next and last Scholastic Book Fair for the school year will be taking place now through the 19th. 

Shopping hours will be:
Monday (05/15):  7:45 am until 2:30pm
Tuesday (05/16): 7:45am until 1:30pm
Wed, Thurs & Fri (05/17-05/19):  7:45am until 2:30pm

All for Books Coin-a-day Challenge
We'll also be doing the All for Books Coin-a-day Challenge.  Every cent we collect will help us build and refresh classroom libraries with new books our students want to read from the Scholastic Book Fair.  Scholastic will match all donations with books for children in need.

Each day represents a different type of coin: 
Nickel Monday (May 15th) - Bring in nickels and wear a favorite hat
Dime Tuesday (May 16th) - Bring in dimes and wear crazy hair
Quarter Wednesday (May 17th) - Bring in quarters and wear your favorite color(s)
Dollar Thursday (May 18th) - Bring in dollars and wear sport clothing

PTA Meeting and Honorary Service Awards
Our final PTA meeting of the year will be taking place on Friday, 05/19 at 6:00pm.  We'll also be having our PTA Honorary Service Awards where the PTA will be giving awards to three well deserving honorees - Tiffany Storch, Aaron Klein and Yoshicka Horton.  Please come out and show your support.

End of Year Surveys
Our End of Year PTA Surveys have gone home.  Thank you to all of our Pinetree families and volunteers for supporting PTA this year. Please take a moment to answer the survey questions so we can continue to serve Pinetree and your family in the best way possible. Please return your completed survey to your child’s classroom or the front office.
