This is the last Pioneer News of the year.  We hope everyone has a great summer and we'll see you next year!   Now onto the news...

Congrats 6th Graders!!!
We wish all the best to our 6th Grade Pioneers and Parents on their journey to become Plainsmen at Sierra Vista!

2016-2017 Yearbooks
The 2016-2017 yearbooks are in and were distributed to classes this past Friday so your Pioneers have plenty of time to get their friend's to sign them.  If you didn't get a chance to pre-order one, please note we will have a VERY LIMITED few going on sale Monday 06/12 at 1:45pm at a table setup in front of the office.  They will be sold first come, first serve.  Prices will be $30 for softcover and $35 for hardcover.  Big thank you to Kym Johnson and Apryl Reaber for their hard work putting the 2016-17 yearbook together.

Pinetree PTA Honored
The Pinetree PTA was honored last week at the SCV Council Installation Dinner for not only exceeding last year's membership total but also having the highest increase in the Santa Clarita Valley!  Go Pinetree!

Six Flags Magic Mountain Tickets for Sale!!!
We have some left over Six Flags Magic Mountain tickets from the 6th grade trip last week. They're on sale now first come first serve for $35 each (cash only). Please see any PTA member in the front office at drop off or pickup or email [email protected] to schedule pickup.

Ways to help Pinetree PTA over the Summer
Is your student coming back next school year?  If so, there are FREE easy ways you can help the Pinetree PTA over the summer.  Here are a couple ideas:

Have you signed up for payForward?  This service which began in our very own Santa Clarita Valley is a easy way to earn cash back on purchases made with your VISA card.  You can then use that cashback to "Pay Forward" to a non-profit organization of your choosing (hint hint...Pinetree PTA).  It's FREE and EASY to signup and begin getting cash back on your purchases at local eateries and shops around the SCV and they have even now expanded to most nationwide online retailers.

Keep collecting those box tops.  Baggies will be going home with your students at the end of the school year and the new classes that collect the most box tops over the summer when we return will win a fun party to kick off the new school year!

Congrats to Mrs. Nystrom's class who brought in the most box tops for the whole 2016-17 school year and will be earning the big end of year Pizza Party!
