Back To School Night
Back To School Night is this Thursday 08/23.  TK/K Session starts at 5:45pm.  Grades 1st through 6th will have two sessions available for you at 6:00-6:30pm or 6:30-7:00pm.  Don't forget our Silent Auctions will be available to bid on during Back to School Night on a table right in front of the MPR.  Bidding will end at the end of Back To School Night at 7:00pm.

PTA Meeting
Our first Association Meeting of the year will be Thursday, 08/23 at 7:00pm right after Back 2 School Night in the MPR. Please come by to learn all the fun stuff that we have planned in the next month.

Silent Auctions
Make sure to check out our cool silent auctions that will be running the first week of school. Bidding will start at the Welcome Social (August 15th) and will end at 7pm at the Back 2 School Night (August 23rd).  Right now, the bid sheets are located in the entrance hallway of the office on our PTA Bulletin Board during dropoff and pickip.  Winners do not need to be present at auction end to win. Locations and times of the bidding sheets can be found in the flier below which will be coming home in your welcome packets.

Spirit Bundles
In celebration of Pinetree’s Big 30th Birthday year, the Pinetree PTA would like to introduce Spirit Bundles as a new way you can help the Pinetree PTA.  In return, you receive great goodies and recognition. We have multiple donation tiers to choose from, you can donate on behalf of your family or business name and one of the best parts - your donation is tax deductible.  This will help get Pinetree PTA on a great fundraising head start for the school year and depending on the tier, you will be able to get everything Pinetree PTA has to offer for the school year.  Pinetree PTA Fundraising provides complete funding for our enrichment classes including art and music instruction, as well as supporting classroom needs, field trips and school wide improvements.

As you can see, we have kicked off our Membership drive with a cool "Rock & Roll" theme. 
Pinetree PTA Members Rock! 
Come join the Pinetree PTA and have a voice in your child's education.  Please note that joining the PTA doesn't require you to attend the meetings or volunteer although we and your students would LOVE if you did.  The Pinetree PTA was able to increase the membership count in the 2017-18 year by over 10% over the 2016-17 school year.  Let's show that we can do it again. 
Also, the classes with the most memberships will win some really cool prizes.

Summer Box Top Contest
Hope you been collecting those box tops over the summer.  Make sure to turn them by Friday to your Pioneer's new teacher as the upper grade and lower grade class that brings the most in the first week of school will win a Popsicle party.

Coffee with the Principal
The first "Coffee with the Principal" session will be this Tuesday, 08/21 at 8:00am.  Come and learn what's going on at Pinetree with Principal Stilson.

The Habit / Baskin Robbins Restaurant Night
Our next Restaurant Day/Night Fundraiser will be Wednesday, August 29th.  It will be another lunch, dinner and/or dessert night taking place at 'The Habit' and 'Baskin Robbins' both of which are located right next to each other in the Golden Valley Plaza (near Target/Kohls) at 19223 Golden Valley Road.  The fundraiser will be all day from 11am to 9pm.  The Habit is requesting that you please present the flyer sent home or you can download below.  Baskin Robbins is requesting that you write "Pinetree PTA" on your receipt and drop it in the box on their counter after paying.

Volunteer Meeting
If you're interested in becoming a Room Parent or a Volunteer in your Pioneer's classroom, it's important that you attend the Parent Volunteer Training Meeting on Thursday, 08/30 at 8:00am in the MPR.  Make sure to also fill out and turn in the volunteer application that went home in the welcome packets.

'Lilo and Stitch' Rockin' FREE Family Movie Night
To kick off our "Rock and Roll" theme this year, we're hosting our first FREE family movie night of the year on Friday, August 31st in the MPR - 'Lilo & Stitch'.  The PTA will be serving complimentary popcorn, juice and water.  Come in your PJs, bring a blanket, a picnic dinner and sing along and enjoy this great movie.  Movie will start at 6pm but come early at 5:30pm for coloring, crafts and to get a good spot.  This is a PG movie and students must have a guardian stay with them.
