Academic Olympics Point Tally Students were issued color teams and points are being tallied for every $1 they raise in sponsorship. Is your Pioneer's color team in the lead? We're posting point tally updates on our Facebook page leading up to the main obstacle course event on September 15th. Below is a tally as of today. For more information including a link to post on your social media so out of town friends and family can sponsor your Pioneer as well, check out our website: http://www.pinetreepta.org/online-ordering.html Reminders ... turning in your pledge sheet with donations by Friday 9/15 earns an extra prize. Our Pioneers asked, and we agreed! This year students will be able to run the whole obstacle course and because of this we need you, our great Pinetree Parents/Family to come help volunteer. We need volunteers to man stations, guide our Pioneers through the course and to help setup/cleanup. If you are available Friday, September 15th from 8:00am until 11am, please respond back to this email with your name and time available so we can add you to the list. We also need some volunteers at 7:15am to help with setup of the obstacle course. Last year was a blast getting to see our Pioneers working hard doing the obstacles. The other bonus with volunteering is you'll get to watch, help and cheer on your Pioneer as they complete the course. Reflections Art Night - TOMORROW!!! This year's Reflections theme is “Within Reach.” The Pinetree PTA will be hosting a free Art Night & Reflections Art Contest Information Meeting on Tuesday, September 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the MPR. All ages and grades are welcome. Come color, paint and draw with us! For more information on the Reflections Art Contest and to download entry forms, please visit our website HERE Ice Cream Social Our Annual Ice Cream Social will be held on Friday, September 22nd at 6pm. It will be following a brief PTA Meeting at 5:30pm. This is always a fun night and what better way to beat this heat than to come enjoy a yummy ice cream sundae. All PTA Members will receive 1 free sundae for each paid member and don't worry, if you're not a member yet, we'll be accepting membership payments that night. If you're not a PTA member, you can still come and enjoy a sundae for just $1. We'll be accepting two forms of payment. Either $1 cash or you can bring in 10 boxtops to purchase your sundae. Hope to see you there! Box Tops Thank you to everyone who submitted box tops for our Summer Popsicle Party. We received over 3,000 which will bring over $300 to the Pinetree PTA. Congrats goes out to Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Storch's class who brought in the most and won the Popsicle parties. Remember, to keep collecting those box tops and bringing them into your student's teacher. We'll have more contests throughout the year and the classes that bring in the most at the end of the year will win something fun! Join the Pinetree PTA As you see, we have kicked off our Membership drive with a cool "Star Wars" theme. Jedi Master PTA, we are! Join us, you will! Come join the Pinetree PTA and have a voice in your child's education. Please note that joining the PTA doesn't require you to attend the meetings or volunteer although we and your students would LOVE if you did. The Pinetree PTA had the highest increase in membership during the 2016-17 year in all of the SCV. Let's show that we can beat that. Also, the classes with the most memberships will win some really cool prizes. We're up to 245 members!!! That's awesome! Go Pinetree! Here's a current tally of memberships. Is your student's class in the lead? If not, join the PTA and increase their tally.
