Academic Olympics Update
Last Friday, the students competed in the Academic Olympics Relay race and we have updated team totals below.  Is your student's team in the lead?  If not, we're still collecting additional sponsorship funds until this Friday, September 12th at which time the final tally will be determined and announced at the PTA Meeting/Ice Cream Social that night!
1st - Blue 2,388 Points
2nd - Orange 2,256 Points
3rd - Red 1,913 Points
4th - Yellow 1,828 Points
5th - Purple 1,653 Points
6th - Green 1,588 Points

Students can collect sponsorship two ways:
1. By cash or check using the pledge form which was sent home.  This works great for neighbors and in town family and friends (if needed, you can download and print a pledge form HERE)
2. You can also recruit sponsorship via email or Social Media by copying and pasting the link below and sending to out of state friends and family. They can click on the link and sponsor your student online safely via debit/credit cards.  Please make sure you share your student's name, teacher and team color which they will need to make their sponsorship

PTA Meeting / Ice Cream Social - This Friday!
Our next PTA meeting will be this Friday, September 16th at 5:30pm followed by our Annual Ice Cream Social from 6-8pm.  The Ice Cream social will feature raffles and our great Pinetree Teachers/Staff serving delicious ice cream sundaes! PTA members will receive one free ice cream sundae. Don't worry, if you're not a member yet, our VP of Membership - Leslie will be on hand to collect membership dues! Also, non PTA members can purchase sundaes at $1 each and some students will be awarded free ice cream sundae coupons this week from their teacher.  This is always a fun event, so come on out and make it a family night!

Restaurant Night - Toppers Pizza Canyon Country
Our first Restaurant Night of the year has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 27th from 3:30pm to 9pm.  It will be taking place at Toppers Pizza (Canyon Country) located at 18417 Soledad Canyon Rd.  Toppers will be donating 20% of all non-discounted sales to the Pinetree PTA.   Fliers will be distributed this week and will need to be presented to the cashier in order for us to get our portion of the sale.  You can also call and mention our flier to take advantage of their home delivery.  Fliers will also be available via our Facebook page and website later this week.  Take a night off from cooking and come out to Toppers.  We hope to see you all there!

Reflections
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Reflections Art Night.  This year's Reflections theme is "What's your story?"  If your student is interested in participating, all information can be found on our website HERE.  Submissions are due October 12th.
