Happy Thanksgiving
The Pinetree PTA hoped all our Pioneers, Families, Teachers and Staff had a very Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed your week long vacation. We're thankful for all our Pinetree Families for all your wonderful support of the Pinetree PTA this year. We're excited for the second half of the year as we'll have more exciting events including Celebrations Around the World, Chili Cook-off, Bingo for Books, Family Nights and of course - The School Carnival. Woo Hoo!

'The Santa Clause' - FREE Family Movie Night & Santa Visit
Please come out to our FREE family holiday movie night on Friday, December 7th at 6:00pm.  We'll be serving complimentary popcorn and drinks and watching the live action holiday classic - The Santa Clause starring Tim Allen. Come in your PJs and bring a blanket to snuggle up and watch the movie.

The Santa Clause is a PG movie. Be sure to bring a parent or guardian to stay off the naughty list! You never know, the big man in red himself might pop in.

Come early for crafts and coloring!

5:30 p.m. Crafts and Coloring
6:00 p.m. Movie Time
Santa Claus and Elf Pioneer Pete will be visiting and taking pictures with the kids once the movie is over.

You are welcome to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy during the movie. This is a FREE family event brought to you by the Pinetree PTA.

Reflections Art Competition Winners

Scholastic Book Fair - December 3rd - 7th
Our first Book Fair of the school year themed to "Enchanted Forest" will be - Monday, December 3rd through Friday, December  7th.  It will be held in the lower MPR (middle of the Primary Building)

Hours of the Book Fair for Parents & Families:
Mon - 2:15 pm until 3:00pm
Tues - 1:15 pm until 2:00pm
Wed - 2:15 pm until 3:00pm & 5:00pm until 7:00pm (Special night hours)
Thurs & Fri - 2:15 pm until 3:00pm
* Please remember that students can shop any day during school hours

We'll also be doing the coin challenge and special themed days for each day.  All coins brought in for each class will be used by your Pioneer's Teacher to replenish their classroom libraries and are matched by Scholastic to help kids in need receive books as well. 

Monday, December 3rd - Bring in nickels and wear your favorite color
Tuesday, December 4th - Bring in dimes and wear a crazy hair
Wednesday, December 5th - Bring in quarters and wear sport clothing
Thursday, December 6th - Bring in dollars and wear your enchanted / magical themed clothing

We are always looking for volunteers to help us run the Book Fair and help give our Pioneers a great shopping experience.  If you're available to volunteer during the book fair hours (school hours & above listed hours), please make sure to complete the School Volunteer information sheet ASAP in the school office and email our Book Fair chair Candice Tiet at [email protected]

Reindeer Lane Holiday Shoppe - December 18th - 20th
A Brand new Holiday Boutique Shoppe will be coming in December. Give your child the joy of holiday shopping on their own within a limited budget. Prices will range from $1 - $10. The shop will be located on the MPR stage this year. Please note this is not a PTA fundraiser, just a service provided by the Pinetree PTA.  All items are sold at cost.

Shopping Schedule:
Tuesday, December 18th - 9:15 am - 1:30 pm
Kids will do a little window shopping during their scheduled classroom visit to the holiday shop during our preview day.
Wednesday, December 19th - 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Kids can shop during classroom visits, recess, lunch and after-school
Thursday, December 20th - 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Kids can finish their shopping during classroom visits, recess, lunch and after-school

We are always looking for volunteers to help us run the Holiday Shoppe and help give our Pioneers a great shopping experience.  If you're available to volunteer during the shoppe hours above, please make sure to complete the School Volunteer information sheet ASAP and email our Holiday Shoppe chair Michelle Hubbell at [email protected]

Spiritwear Update
We're down to our last few sizes of our special 30th Spiritwear T-Shirts and Women's V-Necks/Scoop Necks so please get your order in ASAP to make sure you get a shirt.  Once they're gone, they're gone.

Don't forget, we also have Pinetree tote bags, lanyards, keychains and pencils available for purchase.

Also, if you missed the PTA Spiritwear booth in the MPR at the 30th Celebration, we're now selling the school wide 30th picture taken a few weeks back.  Own a piece of Pinetree history featuring your very own Pioneer Student.  Available in 5x7 or 8x10.  We're also now selling 'Pioneer Pete' Faux Coonskin Caps to show your true Pioneer Pride.

Spirit Bundles
In celebration of Pinetree’s Big 30th Birthday year, the Pinetree PTA would like to introduce Spirit Bundles as a new way you can help the Pinetree PTA.  In return, you receive great goodies and recognition. We have multiple donation tiers to choose from, you can donate on behalf of your family or business name and one of the best parts - your donation is tax deductible.  This will help get Pinetree PTA on a great fundraising head start for the school year and depending on the tier, you will be able to get everything Pinetree PTA has to offer for the school year.  Pinetree PTA Fundraising provides complete funding for our enrichment classes including art and music instruction, as well as supporting classroom needs, field trips and school wide improvements.

Join the Pinetree PTA!
Let's see if we can bypass last year's membership total.  If you haven't joined the Pinetree PTA, make sure to join today!  We're less than 30 members away from passing last year's total!

As you can see, we have kicked off our Membership drive with a cool "Rock & Roll" theme because Pinetree PTA Members Rock! 

Come join the Pinetree PTA and have a voice in your child's education.  Please note that joining the PTA doesn't require you to attend the meetings or volunteer although we and your students would LOVE if you did.  The Pinetree PTA was able to increase the membership count in the 2017-18 year by over 10% over the 2016-17 school year.  Let's show that we can do it again.
