Restaurant Night - "Toppers Pizza Canyon Country" - TOMORROW!!!
Our first Restaurant Night fundraiser will be taking place TOMORROW - Tuesday, August 29th from 3:30pm-9:00pm at the Toppers Pizza located at 18417 Soledad Canyon Road.   Take a night off from cooking and bring the family for some great food.  20% of sales goes to the Pinetree PTA.  This was a fun night last year so let's pack the place with Pinetree Pride!  Make sure to bring your flier or mention it over the phone for delivery.   Fliers have gone home but you can always download one HERE

Academic Olympics
Our main fundraising event of the year is kicking off this week.  The Academic Olympics are back and with some big improvements!  Our Pioneers asked, and we agreed!  This year students will be able to run the whole obstacle course. 

Fliers will be going home this Friday and all students will be assigned a color team in this school-wide event.  Points will be earned for their team through donations (1 point for each dollar sponsored).  Each student that receives at least $10 in sponsorship will begin receiving prizes.  The more sponsorships a student receives, the more prizes they will receive (see prize list below).  Top prizes include a hand print on our ocean mural wall (for over $100 in sponsorship) and the student that brings in the most sponsorship will win a family four pack of tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain.  Make sure to ask all your friends and family to help sponsor your Pioneer.  We'll even have a link on our website where out of state family and friends will be able to donate via credit/debit card. 

Points will also be awarded during the Academic Olympics event (taking place September 15th) which will be a Survivor-style obstacle course covering 5 academic topics, English, Math, Science, Current Events and Problem Solving.  The students will work in teams to complete each obstacle.  Students that complete the whole course earn points for their team! Points will be tallied throughout the 2 week event, and the winning color team will earn a special prize! 

All profits from this fundraiser go directly to our students!  Funds raised help us make our first payment for our Music, Art and Drama enrichment classes, pay for Brain Pop for all classrooms, the Reflections art competition, and countless other beginning of the year activities that give our Pinetree Pioneers a well rounded education.

Spiritwear
Our new Pinetree spiritwear is here, ready and selling like crazy!  This year's design features the symbolic Pinetree with our Pioneer's core standards along with our mascot Pete peeking from behind.

Shirts are $12 each for sizes XS-XL but we're bring back our great deal of 2 for $20. 2XL are $14.50 and 3XL are $15.00.  They come in Heather Grey and Kelly Green

Orders forms went home in your welcome packets or you can order online.  Don't forget to have your students wear their spirit wear or school colors every Friday and show their Pinetree Pioneer Pride!

Come join the Pinetree PTA and have a voice in your child's education.  Please note that joining the PTA doesn't require you to attend the meetings or volunteer although we and your students would LOVE if you did.  The Pinetree PTA had the highest increase in membership during the 2016-17 year in all of the SCV.  Let's show that we can beat that.  Also, the classes with the most memberships will win some really cool prizes.  Join the Pinetree PTA today!

Volunteers Needed
We're looking for three great volunteers to help fill chairperson positions we have open for the 2017/18 school year. The three positions we have open are Reflections Coordinator, 5th Grade Committee Chair and Holiday Shoppe Coordinator. These positions are only active for a couple weeks during the school year.
